In this course, participants will consider the connecting platforms available and appropriate, learn about and explore vendors' free offerings, then research and compile lists of potential classroom connections in a wide variety of local, state, and national resources. Modules will consist of videos to view, tasks to accomplish, and reflections to share.
We live in a global community. Regardless one's locale, technology allows connecting with outside sources in new and creative ways. Engaging and maintaining student focus are always challenging, but inviting new experiences and experts into the classroom enhances interest and enriches learning. In this course, participants will consider the connecting platforms available and appropriate, learn about and explore vendors' free offerings, then research and compile lists of potential classroom connections in a wide variety of local, state, and national resources. Modules will consist of videos to view, tasks to accomplish, and reflections to share. Participants will leave the course with a folder of valuable curated resources for immediate or eventual classroom use.
