Computational Thinking Across the Curriculum
Learn about exemplary lessons created and field-tested by classroom teachers. These lessons incorporate computational thinking (CT) in content area lessons. Teachers will be engaged in hands-on activities to explore effective use of technology and CT to increase student problem solving skills and knowledge. These lessons bring exciting experiences in language arts, data investigation, simulations, and math.
Example Lesson Topics include Computational Thinking in Maker Space, Using Computational Thinking through Data Investigations, Learning Computational Thinking through Simulations and Digital Models, Abstraction and Problem Decomposition applied to Language Arts.

Part 1 Becoming a Successful Virtual LearnerIn this part, you will learn the skills needed to be a successful virtual learner. Please complete this part prior to the Part 2 virtual meeting. |
Part 2: Getting Started w/Computational ThinkingThis part will look at why Computational Thinking is important as well as a look at the ISTE Computational thinker standard. |
Part 3: Deep Dive into Computational ThinkingPart 3 provides a dive into each of the four computational thinking terms (Decomposition, Pattern Recognition, Abstraction, and Algorithms). |
Part 4: Curriculum ApplicationTake a deep dive into Computational Thinking and how it can be integrated into your content area in Part 4. |
Part 5: Lesson PlanningNow it's time to prepare lesson plans with Computational Thinking in mind. During this part, you will create a lesson plan for your content area. |
Part 6: Share and ReflectShare your new computational thinking knowledge by creating a FlipGrid summary of your learning. |
