The course is designed to show how to integrate technology to support evidence-based practices in literacy instruction. Participants will interact with three different phases. Each phase has a self-paced learning opportunity and a synchronous group activity. The phases focus on literacy instruction related to decoding and word recognition, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
Crossroads of History: Using primary sources and social justice standards to correct course on equity and inclusion. This course will facilitate a careful, reversed chronological examination of social justice and civil rights incidents in U.S. history that mirror each other over time. The goal of the Crossroads of History project is to provide entry points for those involved in education in and outside of formal classroom settings to use primary sources and social justice standards to conduct meaningful dialog, learn and develop historical inquires, and inspire informed actions that give voice to marginalized communities.
This 10 week course will help guide you in preparing for the application and ensure you have the appropriate experience and documentation. **Please Note: Choosing this 10 week (10 hour) course will serve as your 4 course requirement for this school year.**
Learn, curate, reflect, certify! To earn certification, you’ll complete approximately 30 hours of hybrid or online professional learning and will then have six months to assemble an e-portfolio that includes artifacts and reflections on your learning. Your e-portfolio will be evaluated by the ISTE Certification review team. Pass and you’ll be an ISTE Certified Educator!
